Tim dropped me off at the airport last night around 4:30pm and I was on the verge of panicking. I knew better not to call anyone, especially my mom, because I would have really freaked out. But after Tim left I just slowly walked through the airport and partook in some people watching. To entertain any last minute doubts, I walked around the terminal to see what other flights were leaving at the same time as mine. There was only one, headed for Norfolk/Portsmouth, and while I was tempted, I made the right choice and boarded my plane. I arrived in London-Heathrow this morning around 7:45am. It was a very easy flight and I slept for most of it with the help of some fantastic Ambien. The food was pretty good and the seats more comfortable than travel in the US, so I have no complaints so far. I have already checked-in for my evening flight to Nairobi so I will just be tooling around the airport until 7:00pm tonight. By this time tomorrow morning I will have landed in Nairobi and will most likely be waiting in line for a visa! I hope everyone had a wonderful NYE.
